Sightings Display Table View Help

The table view displays the sightings data in tabulated form.

The sightings data displayed in the table can be sorted in ascending or descending order for a particular field by clicking the corresponding column heading. By default, the sightings are ordered chronologically by Date but, for example, the sightings can be grouped by species by clicking the Species heading. The direction of the sort can be reversed by clicking on the heading for the current sort order.

The sightings are grouped via alternating colours. Sightings from a particular person, at a particular location, on a particular day, are given the same colour.

Other views for displaying sightings data can be selected by choosing a value from the View drop-down menu and clicking the Update button.
